A fabulous location, and the bar next door

The City of Llandaff Pétanque Club is privileged to have a fabulous location alongside the river Taff in Llandaff, Cardiff.

We have 10 petanque pistes and a friendly and vibrant membership welcoming players of all ages and abilities.

The club is situated within the grounds of the historic Llandaff Rowing Club, who allow us to enjoy the benefit of their club house facilities. They have an on site bar with beautiful views over the river. Join members of both clubs in the summer on the balcony with your favourite tipple, listening to the soft sound of water flowing over the weir.

Club days Turn up and play Regular open sessions for members and anyone thinking of joining. No need to book, no partner required. Mêlées Randomly drawn teams Names in the hat and teams drawn on the day, so you play alongside someone different every time. Competitions Club and league Internal competitions through the season, plus fixtures with other clubs under the Welsh Pétanque Association.

New players are always welcome

No experience needed and no kit to buy — we'll lend you a set of boules for your first few games. Come down on a club day, or email the membership secretary.
